I’m surprised with Clean Hands for Healthy Skin.

I wan not surprised with any of the tips: I had heard them many times before. I do appreciate the the tip for wearing sunscreen in the winter, many do not realize sunscreen should be worn all year round. jslbrown2009 at aol dot com

I was surprised to learn lips and eyelids are the thinnest skin we have.
HS kraftmaking says
I love all Dr Mona Gohara’s tips. I have dry skin and am always very careful taking care of it all year round, one tip I need to remind myself more is to never forget to apply sunscreen.
Rosie says
I was most surprised by Get Soft Hands All Winter Long With the Quick Mani. I probably should know this, but I only tend to pamper my hands and nails in the summer. I don’t tend to wear jewelry out in the cold, so I guess that is why I tend to neglect my hands – no more!
Alma Rocha says
I was shocked to hear about using SPF. It’s always so dark, so I wouldn’t think to use it.

I was surprised to learn lips and eyelids are the thinnest skin we have.
latanya says
lips and eyelids are the thinnest skin we have, which is why they are particularly vulnerable to harsh, cold temperatures. Daily moisturizing of lips during these cold winter months will help you avoid the feeling of dry, thirsty lips by keeping the moisture locked in.
Jordan D. says
I’m surprised by the sunscreen tip. “Just like the water reflects the sun’s rays at the beach, snow reflects those same rays on sunny winter days.” It’s funny how you don’t realize how strong the rays and the reflections are when it’s so cold out. I better remember to wear sunscreen on my face during the winter!
Kelly D says
I learned that lips and eyelids are the thinnest skin we have, so during the winter it is important to keep your lips moisturized.
Susan Christy says
Hand sanitizer dries out your skin. Kind of surprising!!
manda says
You should change moisturizers in the winter
Elle says
Her tip about using Vaseline on nail beds and cuticles for a soft, nourished hand year round surprised me.
Laura J says
I was surprised that the hand sanitizer can strip your skin if it has a high alcohol content, so only use when you need to on the go! Better to wash with soap!
GB says
I was surprised to learn that hot water dries out your skin.
Angela Saver says
The tip from Dr. Gohara that surprised me the most is that hand sanitizer can strip your skin if it has a high alcohol content, so to only use it for emergencies & instead wash hands with a mild cleanser several times a day!

The vaseline on the cuticles tip was super helpful. I’ve heard of most of these tips except that one which is extremely helpful for someone like me who gets extremely dry hands and cuticles during the winter. I use vaseline when polishing my nails, but never thought to apply it for dryness. I’m going to try that right now!
Evie B. says
I was surprised that hot water is drying to your skin. I didn’t know that.
Linda N. says
I was surprised to learn you should use SPF year round.
