If you asked me what my skincare routine looked like a month ago, I would have laughed in your face. One of my goals for 2015 was to get into a daily skincare routine and not be such a slacker. You only get one face ya know! So when I had the opportunity to have a skin consultant call with Paula’s Choice to whip my skin into shape, I was SO excited! The call was so informative and Jaime answered any and all questions I had. She made sure the kit she would be sending would be perfect for my dry / acne prone skin.
I ended up receiving the Resist Collection for Wrinkles & Breakouts (Plus a few extra skincare goodies to rid these breakouts for good!) I’ll admit, when I first got the kit in the mail and saw just how many steps there were, I was completely overwhelmed. I was used to doing 2-3 steps MAX which is probably why my skin hates me so much. I put on my big girl panties and dove right in that night!
Step 1
Resist Perfectly Balanced Cleanser : This cleanser is AMAZING. It makes my skin feel so refreshed and soft and removes left over makeup residue. You only need the smallest amount to cleanse your entire face.
Step 2
Resist Weightless Toner : This toner will change your life. It significantly improves your skin tone and texture. It shrinks pores and calms redness from breakouts. Within the first few days of using this, I could tell a HUGE difference with my pores!
Step 3
Resist Daily Pore-Refining Treatment with 2% BHA : This product helps to remove old cells on the skins surface and inside the pores all while helping to prevent wrinkles. I didn’t see a huge different in my skin while using this, but I am willing to keep giving it a go!
Step 4
Resist Weekly Retexturizing Foam with 4% BHA : This product is to be used once a week at night after cleansing and toning. By using this once a week, I noticed the red spots on my face to be clearing up extremely well!
Step 5
Resist Ultra Light Concentrate Serum : This serum helps to tone down redness and fight the signs of aging. I’m not getting any younger here! This is to be used every day / night over your face and neck.
Step 6
Day Moisturizer + SPF : Pretty self explanatory. The last step to the routine. I also love that it has an added SPF! It’s a VERY thin consistency which took me by surprise at first. I also received the Resist Moisture Renewal Oil Booster and I add a few drops of this right into the moisturizer. It makes my dry skin feel SO hydrated!
Step 7
Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator : This is the moisturizer that they recommend to use at night. It has a much thicker consistency and a little goes a lot way!
Optional :
Resist Acne Spot Treatment : I LOOOOVE this! This is a leave on spot treatment for those pesky stubborn blemishes that just won’t disappear. I use this at night right after I moisturize and when I wake up, my blemishes have decreased immensely!
Needless to say, my skin has improved SO much after using these for just a few short weeks! I am so impressed! If I had to pick one must have out of this whole system, it would have to be the Resist Moisture Renewal Oil Booster! I love adding a few drops to my moisturizer – It makes my makeup go on so smooth and the dry patches I used to get around my nose are completely gone!

I have used the bha9 and the weekly aha 4% and they are both good products. I trust the Paula’s choice brand.

It sounds like I could use ALL of these products! Right now, I’m doing a very minimal routine because I’m taking medicine for my acne, but once I stop I´ll have to look into some of these products :).
