I’m always looking for a great foundation. One that is going to give me flawless, full coverage and last all day without me having to go in and touch up several times. Cue the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation! It claims to have a 15 hour staying power, and won’t smudge or come off on your clothes.
I have used a sample of this foundation in the past, but I knew the shade just wasn’t right for me. So I headed to my local Macy’s and figured it was time to get professionally matched using their iMatch system. This unique shade finder tool matches your facial skin tone to one of six different shade levels. The woman I worked with at the counter was SO helpful and answered any and all questions I had for her. She ended up matching me with the shade 1N2 Ecru and it is PERFECT for my neutral skin tone. It covered up every imperfection on my face plus all of my dark spots & hyper pigmentation.
I also decided to give the Double Wear Flawless Wear Concealer a try too, and it is easily becoming my go to. By using these two products together, you will never have to worry about your makeup coming off during the day. The concealer has such a nice consistency and was so easy to blend in under the eyes. I wore both of these products yesterday and they lasted 12 hours on my skin. That’s incredible if you ask me!
I have quite a few events coming up in the next month or so, and I know exactly which foundation & concealer will make it into my makeup bag! I’m confident enough in knowing by applying these in the beginning of the day, that I won’t have to worry about what my face looks like at the end of a 12 hour beauty event.
If you are looking for a full coverage foundation that doesn’t make your skin look heavy or cakey, I would suggest heading down to your local Estee Lauder counter at Macy’s or Nordstrom and getting matched with their iMatch system. They are so helpful and will answer any questions you may have and make sure you are walking out with the right shade (And even a free 10 day supply to try it out!)

Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation is a wonderful product. I’m using the BB Cream but the foundation does last and last for hours.

Estee Lauder reps have tried to sell me on Double Wear for years, lol. I have a disinclination towards foundation partly because my mom always hated it (which is odd because if she hated it, chances were great that I’d love it, lol) and also because I went to school with a gal who would cake that stuff on like nobody’s business and she was not a very nice gal. Ergo, negative association. 🙂 Still… this one does look and sound like a nice one and you look gorgeous (and you’re clearly not a jerk… Maybe you’ll change my mind 😉 )

You look fantastic.
I got samples of DW at a local department store and gave it a test drive before purchasing. I LOVED the coverage and finish… Sadly it doesn’t mesh with my stupid skin.

That concealer is fab!

Does this have a fragrance? Estee Lauder usually has too much fragrance for me. They discontinued the one I used to use that was fragrance-free and loved unfortunately.

I rarely reach for a full-coverage foundation, but the idea of one lasting all day through my oily skin is tempting!

Hi! I also use the shade 1N2, I recently started using it and I love it. What shade of concealer do you use? I’m trying to decide between light-medium and warm light medium. Thanks!
