Happy Thursday! Today I have 5 brand new thermals from Polished By KPT to share with you! This collection, which is appropriately titled ‘The Basic Series’, contains 5 basic thermal lacquers that only feature core color changes (leaning towards pastel colors) without glitter, holographic, duochrome effect or any additives. These shades are PERFECT for nail artists to create a basic canvas to highlight to creativity and elegance of the nail art or simply for those who love thermals. Let’s take a look! (Ps. This post will be semi photo heavy!)
Living On A Breeze – Gorgeous cornflower blue to pale blue with some milky white. This is my FAVORITE one in the collection. The blue is absolutely stunning and I love how it looks like a subtle gradient effect! (Cornflower blue when cold / pale blue & white when warm)
Delilac – Pale Violet / light purple that has a gradient transition of pink, blue & milky white. Stunning shade and I love the tri-color effect! (Violet when cold / pink, blue & white when warm)
Spring Around Me – Medium mint green with blue undertone that transitions to a bright lime green when warm. Such a perfect Spring shade and I LOVE how neon the lime green shade is! (Medium mint green when cold / lime green when warm)
Kiss Me Before Sunrise – Peachy orange to a pale peach. Another one that looks like a super awesome gradient! (Peach when cold / pale peach when warm)
Roses For Juliet – Pink with a red undertone that transitions to a soft pink. Perfect Valentine’s Day shade! (Warm pink when cold / light pale pink when warm)
Overall, I think this was a brilliant idea for a collection! Because these shades are semi – thick, they are great for stamping and water marbling. Can you imagine what your water marble would look like with these?! Wow! All of the shades shown above are with three thin coats. I started to do two with some, but it wasn’t as opaque as I would have liked!
What are your thoughts on these basic thermals? Are they something you would love to add to your ever growing polish collection?

Those are so pretty! If only thermals actually worked right for me. I don’t think I keep enough free edge for them. I bet those would be awesome in water marbles. 🙂
