I was introduced to Lamora brushes from ItsKeerstin on Youtube and was very intrigued by the brand. I was lucky enough to receive a set to test out and I am VERY glad I did! I have been using these brushes for about 3 weeks now and after several applications and washings, I have to say I think these are going to be amazing for a makeup beginner!
You get 10 brushes (5 face & 5 smaller precision brushes) plus a holder for under $50, which to me, is a great deal! All of these brushes are synthetic and vegan friendly.
Face Brushes
The 5 face kabuki brushes you receive are :
01 – Flat Kabuki – Great for applying cream & liquid foundation!
02 – Round Kabuki – Used to apply mineral makeup
03 – Angled Kabuki – Helps to contour the face and great for applying blush
04 – Flat Angled Kabuki – Another great brush for foundation!
05 – Tapered Kabuki – Use for blending in concealer around the nose or under the eye
I have washed the face brushes twice now and while I didn’t experience any major shedding, I did notice some of the bristles started to look a little rough and out of place. (You can see what I’m referring to in the photos above)
There are a few stray bristles that are coming out from the sides and on top. I would be extra careful when washing them and make sure you have some brush guards on hand (I don’t use these, so this could be my own error) so they keep their shape. They are all extremely soft so I cannot complain there!
Small Precision Brushes
As far as the small precision brushes go, I found they worked better for concealing and highlighting.
01 – Precision Flat
02 – Precision Round
03 – Precision Angled
04 – Precision Flat Angled
05 – Precision Tapered
I had the same issues with the smaller precision brushes as I did with the face brushes. Wacky bristles going hay wire and fraying a bit.
The density on all 10 brushes was really nice. When applying foundation with the flat kabuki, I didn’t have any streak marks and my foundation was even and airbrushed looking.
Overall, I think this would be a great set for a beginner or someone not looking to break the bank on buying brushes. For less than $50, you definitely get your moneys worth PLUS a great storage cup to keep them in! I would also recommend investing in some brush guards, so you don’t have the same issues that I did!

Darn. I was hoping these were going to be a good, reasonably priced brand.
If there is ANY shedding at all after washing them only twice, these are not good brushes. You’re much better off spending a little more money on brushes that don’t shed. I’ve had my Sephora and MAC makeup brushes for almost ten years and they still don’t shed. Yes, it cost more up front, but I’ve saved money by not having to re-buy my brushes every year or two. Also, I have supplemented by main set of brushes with some cheaper ones. Sometimes the cheaper ones are great and don’t shed, but the ones that do are terrible because I have to try to delicately pick fibers off of my carefully made-up face.

I thought these cheaper ones were great for travel. I keep all my MAC ones at home. π
