Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Collection – Swatches & Review (Full)

Before we get into the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction review & swatches, I just wanted to let you know that I announced a new series this morning that will be on my blog every Friday! I have been slacking on monthly favorites this Summer and that’s mainly because I haven’t been wearing a ton of makeup considering how hot it’s been on the East Coast.  I feel like with every single one of my monthly favorites, the amount of products I talk about is overwhelming. I think one month I had close to 20 products (!!) Doing Friday Favorites & Fails should hopefully narrow down the products I show at the end of the month and also give you guys a sneak peek into what I’m constantly using during the week.  I plan on showing around 5-7 items and they will range from beauty, nails, skin, hair & even a few random items. I REALLY hope you will all enjoy this special series! 

Now – Onto the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction collection! This collection has everything you need to re-create Mia’s dark edgy look from the film. When I received this package in the mail, I was BLOWN AWAY by not only the products, but the amazing framed photo they also sent me. I posted a picture of it on my Instagram HERE.  I LOVE how it looks in my beauty room and am so thankful to have gotten it!


The palette contains 3 matte shadows and 2 satins.  (2 are re-promotes) This palette definitely reminds me of the Naked Basics 1 & 2. If you don’t have either of those and are looking for a great neutral matte palette, then I would definitely recommend picking this one up. All of the shadows were easy to use, blendable and fairly pigmented.  The only shadows I had a tough time getting to show up on my light skin tone were Righteous & Furious. They both work best as a brow bone highlight. 

I definitely would have liked ‘Anger’ to be a bit blacker, but it makes for a great eyeliner if you don’t want something too harsh! 


These liners from Urban Decay aren’t really my favorite formula, but if I want to add just a hint of glitter to my black eyeliner they work pretty well for that.  These liners contain very fine glitters in a clear base and have the ability to be built up to your desired opaqueness. 



Now we’re getting into my favorite pieces from the collection – LIPS!  Fall is right around the corner and I can tell you already this will be my go to lip combo.  Pairing the 24/7 glide on lip pencil with the revolution lipstick is an absolute dream come true.  Both are described as a deep blood red.  If you have never tried the revolution lipsticks, you have to add them to your wish list. All of the shades are VERY pigmented and creamy in just one swipe and Mrs. Mia Wallace is no different.  They are just so comfortable to wear on the lips and have a 7-8 hour wear time on me.

Described as a deep cherry red with subtle gold shimmer. Urban Decay’s nail lacquers never get enough love! I found this shade very easy to apply in two coats and I absolutely love the color! 

Overall, I think this was a pretty awesome collaboration. If you’re looking to just get a few pieces from the collection, I would say skip on the palette and indulge yourself in the lip products! They are beautiful!

    I love it all! I’m a huge pulp fiction fan and this limited edition collection is to die for! I would want everything except the glitter liner. The palette and lipstick look fabulous !
