All photos below are topped with JulieG Jet Set top coat. I highly recommend top coating these glitters, as I found they dried to a semi textured finish. They are very very thick, so I recommend using the dab method to apply them to the nail.
Bourbon Street – (Layered over JulieG Dream In Pretty) This shade definitely represents Mardi Gras the best! The colors work together perfectly. I do have to note that I thought this was in a clear base, but it’s actually a muted greyish / black color. Just keep that in mind when looking for a shade to put underneath it!
Costume Ball – (Layered over JulieG Cabana Boy) Gorgeous mixture of different shades of blue and purples. If you follow me on twitter, this was the little brat that wouldn’t open for me yesterday!
Jamboree – (Layered over JulieG Holla Peno) – Mixture of different shades of greens, yellows and blue in a clear base. This goes SO well with Holla Peno!
King Creole (Layered over JulieG Canary Islands) – Mixture of oranges, yellows & reds in a clear base. I call this my ‘Hunger Games’ mani – haha! It’s very Girl On Fire.
Masquerade – (Layered over JulieG Santorini) – Mixture of fuchsia, blue & pink glitters in a light blue tinted jelly base. This was the thickest of the 6, so I would recommend using a very thin layer.
Trinket (Layered over JulieG Rio De Janeiro) – Mixture of different shades of pinks and purples in a clear base.
Overall, the collection is very VERY pretty and represents Mardi Gras & the festivities so well. The only issues I have is some of the glitters were thicker than I am used to working with and I had to dab them onto the nail carefully. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but even with the top coat applied, they still had a gritty textured feeling. So I would recommend using a very thick top coat if you like a smooth finish!
If you’re a glitter fan, you can’t beat these for the price! They would be great for glitter gradients and jelly sandwiches!

great pairings, per usual! As many topcoats as I have, nothing beats a thick topcoat like seche vite or gelous for glitters. The thin ones just seem to get eaten up.
Agreed! I think that’s what happened with JetSet – It’s a very thin top coat which is perfect for creams, shimmers ect.. but I definitely needed to use a thicker one for these glitters!
