I took the very long and very detailed quiz on the site making sure to double and triple check my choices. I hit submit and waited very patiently for my box to arrive. The shipping is rather quick and it got to me in about 4 business days.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. I received 3 pieces of jewelry and I dislike every single piece. I felt like they didn’t listen to anything I had to say in the questionnaire. I would not wear a single piece that was provided to me and I am beyond bummed out! Let’s check out what I got. I misplaced the packing slip, so I’m not sure of the exact names of these items.
Statement Necklace : First of all, this is beyond tacky. I’m so sorry if you like this but this is something I would never wear. The rope detailing feels cheap, but not as cheap as the embellishment detailing.
Silver & Gold Bracelet – This reminds me of an Italian man’s bracelet. The FIRST thing that popped into my head when I opened this was that episode of ‘Friends’ when Joey gives Chandler a best friend bracelet and Chandler calls it the Mr. T bracelet or woman repeller. Definitely not my cup of tea.
Gold Zipper Ring – This ring is just okay. It’s still not my style and something I would probably never wear. It feels very cheaply made and the zipper pull feels like it would fall off at any given time.
Overall, I’m sure you can tell I am highly disappointed in the accessories box. I absolutely love Wantable as a company but this was a complete miss for me. The Wantable accessory boxes retail for $40 and this is definitely not worth that price. I will definitely be sticking to their makeup boxes from now on as those seem to be much MUCH better. None of these pieces will get any wear so I will most likely be donating or giving them away.

Oh gosh … that rope cord is atrocious and I agree with you on the other 2. The zipper ring could be cute imo if it were less cheap looking. Just not the best :/ Thanks for your honesty!

Well it was a gift from wantable, so I won’t go through the hassle to return it. Their CS was pretty great about it though and offered to send a makeup box!

That necklace is horrendous. The bracelet style has been around forever. And I have never felt the need to wear a zipper on my finger… and $40? No way. I say send it back

Yeah, I agree. That may be a “statement” necklace, but the statement is 6th grade summer camp, Arts & Crafts project. That is always the worry I have with the box ideas. Too much chance of them cleaning out the leftovers closet. Very disappointing.

Ooh, that zipper ring is pretty cute! But I agree that their accessory boxes always seem vastly overpriced. I believe their makeup box is a better value but didn’t like that I’d get 4 of the same type of product in one box (like 4 lipsticks at once…)
I tried their accessories edition few months back and they were all nice. This collection is also a miss for me. I can see the “eclectic” side but like you I won’t be wearing any from the box.
gag… that would be a total waste of money for me… at least with RocksBox you send it right back and get another set immediately. I’d be irate to be stuck with pieces like that =( Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be sticking with their makeup boxes only.
This seems a bit off to me, too! The necklace would have been much nicer if it weren’t on that rope chain.. I like the embellishments a bit, but needs to be tweaked. Zipper ring is cute in theory, but I don’t think I would actually wear it. Thanks so much for your honest review!

I was initially very happy with all three of their subscription boxes, however, I agree with another reviewer the quality has diminished. Frankly, my expectations were not crazily high, I mean in I recognize $36 and you are not going to get some crazy high end products. However, I received my Dec accessories box today, first the ring was the exact same I had received last month. The necklace, meh, I received almost the identical one in silver last month as well. The real kicker was the head band. It was the one product that did have a manufacture (Pin and Tube) listed so I went to the website. The headband I received retails for $6.00, on the Wantable invoice it is listed as $24?! I have already canceled my makeup box subscription, returned my Nov intimates box because of quality and will now return my Dec box. I plan on canceling all three. I understand that I would have not/may not love every box but it would appear there is some deceptive practices in the valuing of items in the box.
