Hi guys! Today I have a useful post from Isabella, writer at cosmeticsurgeryguru.com – She’s going to be sharing some tips on how to get the most of your makeup this summer. Enjoy & I’ll see you with a new swatch post on Monday!
Get the most from your make-up this summer
There are plenty of good things about summer, from holidays to long days spend outdoors relaxing with friends. However, some girls will have doubts about their appearance that could involve them investing in everything from a new outfit to a nosejob to resolve.
One problem may be that when faced with the hours out in humid weather conditions some ladies might find their usual make-up application method simply won’t last the pace. But don’t be beaten by the heat that easily – why not try some of these tips to minimise the risk of smudges and smears?
Lighten up
If you’re a fan of powder and foundation you might find summer is the ideal time to cut back on your usage of them in favour a fresher, more natural appearance. Instead, try a tinted moisturiser, which should give you a healthy glow. Select a concealer that is a touch lighter than your skin tone and use it to fix any problem areas, while always ensuring it’s blended properly. And if you want to allow your make-up to work more effectively you don’t necessarily need to apply lots – simply consider using a primer first.
Try a powdered bronzer
For a sun kissed shade try applying a little powdered bronzer to your face and around your neck and other areas where the sun hits such as your forehead and nose. This should help to define features such as eyes and teeth and improve the appearance of your face whether you’ve had a facelift or otherwise.
Go waterproof
If you like to use mascara then at this time of year why not try a waterproof option? If you’re heading on holiday or simply expecting a warm day out and about it might help to ensure you don’t end up with it running down your face – never a good look.
Get your lipstick right
To achieve luscious lips there are a number of things you can do, such as buffing them to remove any chapped skin and then moisturising and applying lip gloss. You could also use a neutral colour to line them and then apply your favourite shade, with neon said to be on trend at the moment.
Keep your skin safe
It’s also important to remember that if you’re going to be spending time in the sun to firstly apply sun cream and ensure you get an adequate amount of shade.
