Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day so far! Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the new Urban Decay Oz Palette in Glinda. These are new & limited edition so snatch them up while you still can!
The packaging is absolutely beautiful on this palette! It has a sort of pastel galaxy feel to it. The palette comes with 6 BRAND NEW eyeshadows including 2 never before seen duo shades! It also comes with a full size Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in the shade ‘Glinda’ and a deluxe sample size of the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in ‘Rockstar’. Not too bad for $49! Let’s look inside!
I love that they also included a ‘Get The Look’ face chart!
The shadows are housed in Urban Decay’s famous ‘Build Your Own Palette’ cases. They are made of tin and are extremely sturdy! I love that the shadows can also be popped out in case you want to mix & match your look!
And it also passes the ‘Stand up’ test! I love when I get a palette and am able to set it down on my makeup table without having the mirror fall down. (Think Naked or Vice Palette) And yes I still have the protective cover on my mirror. Haha!
So here are the first row of shadows. These colors in this palette are SO ME. They are neutral, yet fun at the same time!
L-R – Tornado, Aura (The first duo shade) & Magic
Tornado – Rich dark purple with a shimmery frosted finish. The pigmentation on this one was pretty amazing. It was buttery smooth and soft, which made the application flawless!
Aura – Both of these I would describe as highlight shades. One is a pale white with an iridescent pink finish (Top shade) and the other is a nude pink with a blue / violet shimmer. Both were just okay in pigmentation. Like I said, these are definitely more for highlighting than all over the lid.
Magic – Pink lavender with a golden shimmer. This one has pretty decent color payoff as well.. It was very soft and buttery but a little bit powdery.

You can definitely see just how pigmented Tornado & Magic are!
Second row of shadows.
L-R – Illusion, OZ (The other duo shade) & South
Illusion – Soft champagne with a golden peach undertone. I REALLY love this color! Great pigmentation and silky smooth.
Oz – The 2nd duo in the palette comes with a rich gold metallic and a frosted silver. These were the 2 that had the most fallout because of the glitters in them. It is SO packed with glitter that it was all over my lightbox. So a heads up on that!
South – Dark taupe with a frosted finish. Loving this one as well. Perfect all over the lid color! Shades like this are right up my alley!

Look how crazy that glitter is in the gold shadow! Insane!
And last but not least, we have swatches of the High Gloss Lip Color in Glinda & the 24/7 Liner in Rockstar.
I absolutely love the Urban Decay Gloss Lip Colors! They are so buttery and creamy and really glide onto your lips with ease. ‘Glinda’ is a really pretty nude that compliments the colors in this palette so well!
The 24/7 Liners from Urban Decay are my FAVORITE! I’m such an eyeliner newbie, so these are perfect for someone who is just starting to dive in. I find them to glide really well on your eyes and are extremely long lasting. I’m actually really obsessed with dark purple liner lately, so I’m thrilled to add this to my collection!
So let’s break this down. The Glinda palette sells for $49.00. Some of you may think that is pretty pricey but let’s see –
Lip Pencil (0.10oz) – Retails for $19
Eyeliner (0.03oz) – Retails for $14
Six eyeshadows (0.05oz) – Retails for $108
Build Your Own Palette Tin – $18
Value – Approx $150
That is pretty awesome if I do say so myself! Some of the pigmentation on these was definitely better than others, but I can totally live with that. I found the wear to be long lasting on both the shadows and the lip color! This is for sure a palette I am going to get tons of use out of!
What are your thoughts on the Urban Decay Glinda palette? Is this something you would splurge on?

Will these colors make me look like Michelle Williams? If so, I’d definitely spend the $49.00. They are pretty colors and of course, she looks awesome!
