Good Morning! Does anyone else feel like this week is going by SO slow?! I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday and was pretty let down. ANYWAYS.
Last night I was feeling really inspired and creative. I sat at my swatching table looking at the new butter LONDON Sweetie Shop collection I had gotten to review, but didn’t feel like just swatching them on their own. So, I grabbed a few bobby pins and got to work! I’m going to be showing you 4 really cute Spring inspired looks! I hope you guys enjoy. I’m not a nail art pro but I am really happy at how each of these came out! Oh and warning – Picture heavy! 😉
Look #1 – Fiver as the base and Jasper & Fruit Machine as the “chevron” I guess you could call it? I ended up loving this look so much last night that I currently have it on ALL 10 fingers!
I honestly thought this was going to be harder than it was. I basically painted my entire nail Fiver using 2 coats. Then took Fruit Machine (pink) and drew 3 “steps”. I let that dry and did the same with Jasper.
You can totally see it’s not perfect, but I really really love it!
Even Mister LFL said they were cute! Score!
Look #2 – Spring Flowers! I used Jasper as the base and Fruit Machine & Kerfuffle for my flower.
I saw this technique on one of my favorite sites – Beauty Junkies Unite earlier this week and fell in love! All I did was draw 5 dots with Fruit Machine in a circle to represent flower petals and put Kerfuffle in the middle. SO easy and adorable!
Look #3 – Candy Dots!! These are definitely sweet enough to eat! I used Cuppa as my base and took my bobby pins and dipped it in Fiver, Fruit Machine, Kerfuffle & Jasper. Easy, quick & yummy!
Look #4 (My least favorite) French Tip Dots – I’m not sure where I was trying to go with this. I used Kerfuffle as my base and dotted on Molly Coddled first. (I should have stopped there) But I went ahead and added Fiver as well. The dots didn’t line up how I wanted so it turned out all crazy. Oh well! Practice makes perfect!
So, what do we think of my non nail art skills?! haha. I honestly had a blast doing these last night. I give props to all you nail art queens though – I didn’t want to take them off!
Which one is your favorite? I would love to know in the comments below!
