Happy Friday! I can’t believe January has already come to a close! Who’s ready for Favorites & Fails?! I surprisingly don’t have that many items this month.. Or maybe I do and I’m just being crazy. Anyways – Let’s start with the favorites!
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation & Pressed Powder – This foundation is being compared to the Urban Decay Naked Skin (I have never tried that btw). Nearly Naked has become my NEW favorite drugstore foundation! The coverage is fantastic and so light. I bought the powder in the shade ‘light’ but it’s still a little dark – So just beware of that when you’re picking out your color. I have a feeling this powder is going to be a cult favorite in the beauty community. It is so finely milled and silky – I love it! Where to buy – drugstores | Price – $9.99 each
Maybelline ‘The Rocket’ Mascara – I’m pretty sure I found the holy grail of mascara’s. Maybelline just released this about a month or so ago and it is fantastic! It gives you incredible volume and really thickens your lashes – making them SUPER long! And of course, the packaging on this is so fun! Love the neon colors. If you’re thinking about getting this, I highly recommend it! Where to buy – drugstores | Price – $7.79
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Glisten – I think this was available in a LE QVC set, BUT I happened to purchase mine from the Sephora website! Glisten is a beautiful pinky peach blush with gold shimmer. It’s absolutely beautiful and I am obsessed with Tarte blushes! Where to buy – sephora.com | Price – $25
Tarte Glamazon 12 hour Lipstick in Foxy – Another tarte product I used a ton this month is part of their new Glamazon Pure Performance Lipstick line! Foxy is a vivid hot pink that looks fabulous on the lips. I love that when it starts to wear off, it leaves your lips stained so you don’t need to reapply so often. These are SO creamy & pigmented! Nivea Lip Butters – I searched high & low for these and finally found them at my local CVS. I believe these were out in the UK last year and just started popping up in the US. They are to DIE FOR! They are incredibly moisturizing and smell (and taste) divine! If you happen to see these at your drugstore, get them! They are SO worth it! Where to buy – CVS | Price – Mine rang up 2 for $5
Lorac Pro Palette – I have been reaching for this way more than my Urban Decay Naked palette’s lately. I love the mix of matte & shimmer colors! As you can see, the colors I’ve used most this month were nude, gold & pewter. The pigmentation is awesome and there is hardly any fall out with these shadows. The only complaint I have is the packaging gets SO dirty. If you’re familiar with NARS packaging, that’s exactly how it feels. Fingerprints & makeup everywhere! Body By Mersado Cuticle Balm – OH.MY.GOD. I have been using this since the day Mercedes (Beyond Beauty Lounge) sent it to me to try and I am completely blown away. It is comparable to Lush Lemony Flutter.. but lets’ be honest here.. I threw my lemony flutter out as soon as I got this. This is 100x better! The Balm Mary Lou Manizer – I got this in my December Birchbox I believe? It is one of the best champagne highlighters I have come across! You can also use this as an eyeshadow as well – It’s so gorgeous! Very pigmented – a little goes a long way! Where to buy – http://www.thebalm.com | Price – $24
Benefit Cosmetics Makeup Bag – How adorable is this? I needed a new makeup bag and as soon as I saw this, I had to have it! I also bought the HUGE travel bag to go with it! WAY excited to use this on my trip in a few weeks! Where to buy – http://www.benefitcosmetics.com | Price – $25

Nivea Kiss Of Milk & Honey Lip Balm – Ew. The smell & taste of this makes me nauseous. I was looking for something really great for my lips and this is NOT it! SO glad I have my Nivea lip butters!
Equate Naturally Beaming Daily Moisturizer – Again, I was looking for a product to cure my dry skin (Winter in New England is brutal!) and I heard positive things about this product so I picked it up at Walmart. It is horrible! It has sunscreen in it, so it leaves a white film on your face.. Not attractive! It also made me break out like crazy. I definitely don’t recommend this!

my derm recommended that i use ceraVe due to my extremely dry skin. so far i love it and has recommended it to others who has also love it. can be found next to the cetaphil items. loition is about $12.
