Hey everyone! It’s Noelle from XO, Noelle and I’m so excited to be guest posting here at Love For Lacquer. Thanks Jess! <3
So while Valentine’s Day may have been last week, I feel like hearts and kisses are always in style. I would definitely rock these all the time. Today I’ll be showing you a super easy nail tutorial on how to get these super cute kissy nails! Let’s get started!
Little Kisses Nail Tutorial
Ta-da! Here’s the end result. Now let’s see how we do it!
You Will Need: A small dotting tool (or a bobby pin), a striping brush and three different color polishes.
Although I didn’t show it, you should always start off with a clear base coat. After the clear base coat has dried, paint your nails whatever base color you want. I used Square Hue Dear John.
Using the smaller end of your dotting tool (or your bobby pin), dip into your first color. I used Square Hue Wartime Romance.
To make the top half of the lip, I tried to draw a loose lowercase “m”. Hopefully, that makes sense. For the bottom half, I just drew a “)”. Make sure to leave room for more lip prints in a different color! Try making some of the lip prints off the nail to give the design more depth.
Again, using the smaller end of your dotting tool (or your bobby pin), dip into your second lip color. I used Square Hue High School Crush.
Again, to make the top half of the lip, I tried to draw a loose lowercase “m”. For the bottom half, I just drew a “)”.
I almost stopped here but thought the lips could use a bit more oomph to them!
Taking your striping brush, dip it into your base color (for me, Square Hue Dear John). You don’t want a lot of paint on the brush, so brush a few strokes onto a paper towel or paper plate. Then lightly brush little lines onto the lips.
Seal with your favorite top coat and wa-la! All done!
I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial! xx If you like what you see, make sure to check out my blog XO, Noelle, ‘like’ my FB page and follow me on Instagram π Thanks again, Jess!
