Top 10 RED Lipsticks – Taylor Swift Inspired!

It’s FINALLY Friday! If you have any Holiday parties coming up, this is definitely going to be the post for you! Many of you know, I am a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift. I absolutely love everything about her style & her music. And recently, she has been rocking the most perfect red lip color! I took some time to research just what exactly is on her lips these days and come to find out, it’s a drugstore lippy! That’s my girl!

So while I was frantically running to the drugstore to pick up this particular color, I had the brilliant idea for this post. We should all rock the red lip this season.. even if you think you can’t pull it off.. you CAN! No reason to be scared, there are a ton of different options out there for everyone! Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet – You saw this in my last favorites post, so you know it had to be included! Perfect if you don’t want something TOO bright on your lips. You can build it up as much as you want! Availability – Drugstores | Price – $7.49

Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance Lipstick in Wild – I can’t rave about this line enough. Tarte has become one of my favorite brands and this lipstick in Wild is sure to make a statement on your lips! Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick in Frenched – Va Va VOOM! This bright red is sure to make you noticeable! It’s so flattering and this is another that can be buildable so you can pile it on for a dramatic look or give it a few swipes to tone it down. Availability – benefitcosmetics.com | Price – $18
MAC Lipstick in Charmed, I’m Sure – Unfortunately, this was a limited edition shade so if you’re lucky enough to have it.. fantastic! If not, I’m sorry! This is a TRUE Marilyn Monroe red – Very vibrant & dark! Availability – Most likely ebay ๐Ÿ™ | Price – N/A

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl – This lippy is super cool – A lipstick and a lip pencil all in one! I actually forgot I owned this until I started pulling colors for this post. A new found love! Availability – narscosmetics.com | Price – $24

Dior Diorling Diorific Lipstick – A classic Holiday red color. This lipstick is so gorgeous! It’s long lasting, super pigmented and lightly moisturizing. If you’re going to splurge on a red lipstick this year, hands down this is my pick! Availability – dior.com | Price – $36

Covergirl Hot Passion – THIS is the signature Taylor Swift lipstick! How incredibly gorgeous is this color?! I have been wearing this for a few days now and I absolutely love everything about it! It’s so pigmented and lasts for a really long time. The name fits this color SO well! Availability – drugstores | Price – $6.99
So if you’re still not convinced a lipstick is right for you, but still want to rock a little bit of red this season – Here are three other options! 
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam – I love NYX products and have been dying to try their matte lip cream line. I picked this up the other day and it is amazing! It’s a lipstick cream that goes on silky and then dries matte. Extremely affordable!  Availability – nyxcosmetics.com | Price – $5.99

Giorgio Armani Gloss D’Armani #400 – Love using glosses, but don’t want something matte? This Armani gloss in #400 is SO shiny & gorgeous! You can tell by just looking at the swatch picture how shiny it is. Extremely pigmented, luxurious, non sticky & lasts forever! Always a win in my book! Tarte Lipsurgence in Swank – I almost didn’t include this one because in the tube I didn’t think it was going to be as red as it came out to be. It’s stunning! This is another one that goes on sheer and you can really build up the color. The swatch photo shows about 5 or 6 swipes. The lipsurgence pencils by Tarte are one of my FAVORITE products of all time!     NARS Dragon Girl is my favorite of this bunch ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m such a red lippy fan, I don’t think I could narrow it down to just one favorite but I think MAC Russian Red is a pretty solid choice for anyone that wants a classic red! (assuming cruelty-free isn’t a must)

    Wish I could give some input, but I pretty much never wear red on my lips. I feel like my hair and skin is too light and most reds look really harsh against my skin tone. I do love my Tarte LipSurgence, but I only have it in pink colors. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Those are gorgeous! I have yet to find a red lipstick that works well with my skin tone. I love Covergirl Lipstain in Plum Pout and Essence Kiss Kiss Kiss. Despite the name, Plum Pout is not plum at all. Its a cross between strawberry and raspberry. Kiss Kiss Kiss is a gloss in the Stay With Me line. The color sticks around long after the glossy texture is gone. Its a pink toned red.

    I bought the Revlon Red Velvet yesterday – LOVE IT! Super saturated color, very balmy, and the tint it leaves if you blot it is beautiful and perfect for the Holidays. Thanks again!

    MAC Ruby Woo, MAC Russian Red, L’Oreal Colour Riche 315 True Red, NARS Jungle Red, Make Up Forever Moulin Rouge.. My mom had this AMAZING red called “Rouge Mythique” by Dr. Pierre Ricaud, but it’s made in France and she doesn’t remember how she got it lol.. Great post and I will definitely try a few ๐Ÿ™‚
