Hi everyone! This is Emily from The Lacquerologist, and I am honored to be doing a guest post here at Love for Lacquer! Jess was one of the first bloggers I really looked up to and reached out to and she has been great! =) I picked a special mani for my post here…my first attempt at free-hand tribal nail art!
For this look, I started with two coats of China Glaze Elephant Walk, a shimmery gray from the China Glaze On Safari Collection. I tried to pick some soft fun colors for my accents, so I went with Julep Carrie, an opaque soft pink, and OPI Mermaid’s Tears, a classic dusty teal creme. I applied these polishes with their bottle brushes and a striping brush for smaller details. I used my Stripe Rite striper in black for the outlines and Wet N Wild Wild Shine Black Creme for the dots. I finished off with two coats of Out The Door top coat.
I know my lines aren’t perfectly straight, but honestly, I wasn’t super concerned with that…I wanted these to have a whimsical, pinterest-esque look, and I think I pulled that off! I hope you like these! I say this all the time over at my blog, but the possibilities are endless with this look, and really it’s not as difficult as you may think!
Thanks so much for reading and thanks to Jess for having me! I hope to see you all over at The Lacquerologist soon!! <3
