Happy Friday ladies! I have an awesome mascara review for you this morning! You guys know how much I *LOVE* mascara, so when Too Faced gave me the opportunity to review their brand new product, I was thrilled! I do have to be honest, I was a little worried because it seemed so complicated but it wasn’t at all! I’m not one to wear false lashes on a day to day basis, so being able to achieve that look without all the sticky glue mess is awesome!
It comes packaged in this sleek black & gold box that opens from the front to reveal the steps you need to take to achieve your ‘Better Than Falsies’ look!
And once you open it up, you will see a black velvet box complete with your tools. The gold tube is step 1 & 3 and will act as your top and base coat. The small, white tube contains the exclusive Flexistretch nylon fibers. I LOVE the packaging of these tubes. They are so chic and gorgeous!
To get started, you want to prime your lashes by using the activating mascara to create a base to adhere the nylon fibers. The brush as you can see is very thin and easy to control. I had no issues at all with application. I was able to separate and define with ease!
After that, you are going to brush on 1-2 coats of the exclusive Flexistretch nylon fibers. This is going to help build length & volume to give you that dramatic falsies look! This brush consists of little loose strands of nylon fiber. They’re very thin & light almost like you’re brushing spiderwebs on your lashes. The applicator is a tight spool brush.
And last but not least, seal those babies in! Apply another coat of your activating mascara and voila! You’re ready to hit the town! No Glue.. ALL GLAM!
So does it work? If you’re like me and pretty uncoordinated when it comes to applying false lashes, this truly is the system for you. I would MUCH rather take the extra steps to achieve the same look than getting glue all over my perfectly manicured hands! And just a side note – You can use ANY mascara with the fibers.. you do not have to use the Too Faced mascara if you don’t want to!

Lacquer Lowdown – The packaging is beautiful and the instructions are very simple to read & understand. I definitely saw an increase in length & volume when I used this set. I did NOT experience smudging or flaking which is a total bonus! As far as removal goes, all I used were some makeup remover wipes and it did the job! The only issue I did have was the activating mascara was dry. I actually had much better results without using the Too Faced mascara!

I would like to try this, do you think it’s really worth the 35 dollar price tag?
I think $35 is a little high for this.. especially since you can pretty much use whatever mascara you want. I’ll bring mine to you & let you use it!

Is there any odor to the product? If there isn’t than $35 isn’t that bad.
