Hi! My name is Jessica and I run the blog Beautygnome. I’m super excited to be guest blogging for my friend (and fellow Jess!) here on Love for Lacquer. Today I want to show you how to do a glitter gradient. This is a really cool looking type of nail art that is easy to achieve and doesn’t require any special tools or really even any special skills! I thought the best way to show you would be to actually, well, show you! So I made a quick little video demonstrating two different ways to do glitter gradients- a full nail gradient as well as a gradient tip.

See? Not hard to do at all. It may take a few tries just to get the hang of it, but I think that goes for most nail art techniques. This is a fun look for Summer and a great way to use the dozens of glitter polishes you have covering your kitchen table, desk, and most other horizontal space in your house. Wait, is that just me?
Here is a glitter tip gradient I did recently, using the technique shown in the video:
I used Lacquistry’s Cotton Candy for the gradient over a base coat of Laqa & Co. Pimpin’. I like using glitters with a variety of shapes/sizes as I think it adds a lot of texture and depth to the design.
Is this a nail art technique you would try out?
Thank you so much for reading!
All the best,
Jessica
