Essie is back with a lovely quartet of pastels for Spring! When I first saw this collection, I thought ‘Oh another pastel wedding collection’.. But I’m totally eating my words. These four shades are beautiful and a must have in any Essie lovers collection! All colors applied in 2-3 coats. Let’s get started!
Who Is The Boss? – Freshly-minted cream green. It was more like a light sage color.. either way.. it’s stunning and my absolute favorite from this collection! Two thumbs up for the name!
Love & Acceptance – Creamy, dusty lilac with a slight grey undertone. Lilac is huge this spring and this color is another stand out. This would look insanely gorgeous with a crisp, white wedding dress!
Like To Be Bad – Creamy delicate light pink – This one did have some streaking issues, but if you work with it, it applies well! There is a SLIGHT shimmer in this, but it didn’t transfer over to the nail at all. Bummer!
Instant Hot – Beautiful white with a pink undertone. This one also is jam packed with shimmer, but nothing transferred over to the nail. You can see from the swatch pic.. the sparkle is just screaming to come out of the bottle! Overall, this is probably one of my favorite white polishes. If I was planning a wedding this summer on an island somewhere, THIS would be the color I would use. Can you imagine what it would look like with a tan!?
Overall, I’m kind of in love with this collection. Sure, none of the colors are that unique.. but there’s just something about it that makes it so versatile for everyone even if you’re not getting married this year!
“Preparing for the big day can be stressful.” Essie Weingarten explains. “You always need a reminder to have fun during the process! I suggest taking your bridesmaids on a trip to the nail salon for a manicure and pedicure party. It’s such a wonderful experience to share – it’s my pre-nuptial prescription for melting tension,” says Essie.
She couldn’t be more right! π
Price – $8.00 USD
Lacquer Lowdown – A. I think this is a perfect Bridal Collection for Spring. There was slight streaking, but nothing that couldn’t be controlled. Who Is The Boss is a definite stand out for me! Essie just keeps on impressing!
