Review ~ Zoya Fleck Collection!

Flakies, Flakies & more flakies! I can never have enough! How about you? When I heard Zoya was coming out with three, I was SO excited! These babies can turn any boring cream polish into something extraordinary & gorgeous. There have been and are many flakies out there right now (Sally Hansen, Essie, NFU OH ect), but I think these from Zoya are definitely my favorite.

Some of you may ask.. what IS a flaky anyways? It’s basically a clear topcoat filled with tiny reflective flakes that have a subtle shimmer in hues of green, orange, blue, ect depending on the light or base color. For my base coat I used a basic black. (Which by the way I absolutely HATE applying black polish. Something about it always comes out sloppy & messy) You can use these over anything your heart desires, but I find the color best shows up on a darker polish.

Maisie ~ Turquoise base with blue & green flecks.. This definitely reminds me of warm weather, ocean blue water.. and margaritas by the pool. Too much? :p

You can DEFINITELY see the green & blue flakes in this. It’s stunning. I used 2 coats over basic black to build up more flakie goodness. You can use one if you want, but for me.. the more flakes the better!!

Chloe ~ Girly girl in a bottle. This has a pink base with hints of gold, red, blue & green flakes. Surprisingly, this one was the only color that would not cooperate with me as far as photographing goes. Believe me when I say these look FAR better in real life.Especially Chloe.. Right now she’s my favorite out of the three.

Again, I used 2 coats over basic black. I am definitely going to try this over Tru. I think it would look SO pretty!

Opal ~ Light green base with green & SUBTLE blue flakies. When you look at the bottle, it kind of looks murky. Murky but pretty.. does that make sense? haha. I assure you, it is far from murky when you put it on. This would be SO awesome for St. Patrick’s Day over any shade of green polish.

I do have to give Zoya a huge thumbs up for putting these out. NONE of them are dupes for each other or any flaky polish that’s out there right now. I love that they have stepped out of their comfort zone. Well done Zoya. Reward yourself with some m&m’s 😉
