Hey everyone! This post is LONG overdue! I received these in the mail about 2 weeks ago, but had so many other things to catch up on. But.. here it is. The post most of you have been waiting quite some time for! The Nicki Minaj OPI Collection.
When I first heard she had teamed up with OPI, I was stoked. I love her & her crazy style so I knew the colors they would come up with would accurately reflect that. I apologize in advance if some of the pictures I took, are a little off in color. I did the BEST I could with my camera, outdoor lighting and a light box to ensure I could get amazing results. Let’s dive right in!
The collection consists of 3 creams, 2 glitter (One of which is a bar glitter) and a shatter. I, personally, am kind of over the whole shatter phase so I hope this will be the last one from OPI for awhile now. I’m pretty sure they released every single color of the rainbow.
The polishes were named after some of her songs from her hit record ‘Pink Friday’. Let’s start swatching! (As always, you can click on the photos to make them bigger)
Fly ~ Teal cream. I probably have several like this in my collection, so it’s not the most unique color.. but it’s still a gorgeous lacquer.
Pink Friday ~ This is your perfect bubblegum pink. Definitely a must have if you love wearing pink on your nails!
Did It On Em ~ I don’t know exactly how to explain this color. Chartreuse comes to mind. It also reminds me of a color that could have been found in the OPI Shrek collection.. like if Fiercly Fiona & Who The Shrek Are You had a baby.. this would be the end result.
Metallic 4 Life ~ Silver hex glitter combined with small silver square glitter in a black base. This one is probably my favorite. It’s so unique and SO gorgeous on. I definitely don’t own anything in my collection like this & that makes me VERY happy!
Save Me ~ Silver & blue holographic bar glitter in clear base nail polish color. This one is definitely better for layering than on it’s own. Bar glitters are SO unique.. Way to go OPI for releasing one!

I like these! I really like the “Metallic for life” “Fly” and “save me.” Surprisingly, “did it on em” is okay too. I was a little worried about that one. I can’t believe that pink is that dark. I pictured a lighter color. Overall I do like this collection. I may have to get this minus the shatter. I’m over them as well :-/

Metallic 4 life is the only one I really like. Like you, I’ve over the shatter polish. Great post though! Thanks for showing us the colors!
I’ve seen many pinks and blues like that (so I agree it’s probably not the most unique collection), but I don’t own colors like those two so I would definitely purchase this! Not so sure about Did It On Em by itself, but I like it with the shatter and glitter! … And also, I like the celebrity nail polish collections in general. They seem to have a lot more glitters and sparkles and such, which I think is a lot of fun.
I really like pink Friday and save me. I need something slightly more pink than OPI sweetheart so I think that will work.

Beautiful!! I mostly wear the glitter look, and even when I go to a salon to get my nails done, I choose OPI. The longest lasting polish, I wouldn’t buy anything else!
