Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having a GREAT Monday so far! Today I have swatches of the new China Glaze Hunger Games collection. This collection has been buzzing around the polish community for months now. I am a HUGE fan of The Hunger Games books and cannot wait for the movie to hit theaters. If you have never read this series before, I highly suggest you do. I was hooked by the first few pages and managed to finish the entire book in less than a day. (And can I just add.. SO much better than Twilight!)
The collection consists of 12 colors all with different finishes. Some are unique and honestly some I could live without.. but more on that after) Let’s get started!
Agro ~ Medium green shimmer. This is a gorgeous green & would be perfect for St. Patty’s day! I used 2 coats but you can easily get away with only one.
Dress Me Up ~ Mauve pink/ brown cream. Great neutral color .. Formula was okay on this one. I used two coats.
Fast Track ~ Light tan base with gold shimmer. VERY unique. It looks gorgeous in the bottle, but if you want it to transfer to your nail the same way.. you’re going to need 3 coats. It was very sheer. I was hoping it would come off as a nice cream.. but I was mistaken.
Foie Gras ~ Dark brown cream. This color was not a stand out for me at all. Hate to say, but it looks like baby poop 🙁 Probably won’t be using this one much.
Harvest Moon ~ Now we’re talkin China Glaze! Harvest Moon is a GORGEOUS copper metallic. This is such a beautiful color. I used two coats.
Hook & Line ~ Frosty grey. Not a fan of this one either. Boring color, horrible finish. It came off very streaky as you can tell in the photo.
Mahogany Magic ~ Chocolate brown cream. It’s actually a tad shade darker than what is pictured here. Again.. kind of looks like.. well .. you know. Not 100% sure about this one yet. Two coats were used.
Riveting ~ WOW. This bright orange shimmer is BEAUTIFUL. I will definitely be getting a backup of this. It’s so bright and fun. LOVE. Two coats were used as well.
Smoke & Ashes ~ Dark dark blue base with green and blue shimmers. I LOVE this one as well. The color might look black, but it definitely is not. Gorgeous. Two coats were used.
Electrify ~ (Over Riveting) Gold & red glitter. It was sort of thick but it actually applied really well. Love it over Riveting! Definitely makes your nails POP!
Stone Cold ~ Grey matte with silver shimmer. My absolute favorite from this collection. It’s so beautiful and I am so into matte’s right now. Not a fan? Just throw a top coat over it and you’ll be shiny as new! 😉
Luxe & Lush ~ (Over Stone Cold) Obsessed with this combo! Luxe & Lush is almost a flakie.. but more like shards of colored glass. I love it!
What are your thoughts on this collection? Have you picked up any colors yet? Have you read The Hunger Games series and think these colors fit the districts well?

Wow! I love all of them, and I actually like the Fois Gras AND Mohogany Magic. 🙂 I love browns! I almost picked one up on Saturday! Might have to make a trip to Sallys again! Thank you so much for this post! Very helpful to see which colors Im going to pick up next! 🙂 Amazing as always!

Looks like I did pretty good, I only ordered half of them. The only one I missed out of your standouts is Harvest Moon (I’m not one for neutrals, they just don’t look good on my skin tone – although the copper undertone in your swatch has be intrigued!) and I didn’t get any out of your could have done without list!
I read all three books in a matter of 4 days. I was obsessed. Couldn’t put them down. Then I was bummed they were over lol. So excited for the movie!!!!
Leaving work now and stopping by Sally’s to pick up Smoke and Ashes. Was going to get Mahogany Magic but now I’m rethinking about that one. Also want to get the CG Magnetix.Pics as soon as I get home.

I was kinda unimpressed with most of this collection, but I love Riveting, Stone Cold, and Luxe and Lush
stone cold is gorgeous!! not sure why I didn’t buy it. I bought Luxe & Lush thought.

Im really only liking Stone Cold. Not to be gross but Mahogany Magic reminds me of poo. LOL :/ Great review Jess! ……I also finally finished the book and glad I stuck with it! On the third now. 🙂
