So my style this month was American Beauty. I am SO pleased with this box! I was also able to do a special “upgrade” and get an extra nail polish in my box.
The polishes I received were :
Anne ~ A creamy, gorgeous violet cream
Maria ~ Light pinkish rose / frost(my favorite of the bunch!)
Demi ~ Gorgeous dark red
I also received a 4oz tub of pomegranate body scrub. I seriously wish you could smell this lotion. It’s DIVINE!! For those of you who got it in your box this month, do you agree?? I could eat it.. but I won’t. 😉
And then I also received 2 small samples of nail polish remover pads.

Gorg right? I love the quality of this polish. Perfection in 2 coats! Although Maria could definitely get away with only one.

Not crazy for it. I opted to skip January (I got a box in November and one in December). I found that while the price (for me) is less than $22 and it’s not a terribly bad price the fact is you get less nail polish (0.27 oz) compared to OPI or China Glaze. If I bought OPI retail (I get it at pro price) I would pay $24 (before tax) for three bottles of 0.50 oz. Basically it’s about $4 more for three full size OPI to two or three Julep polishes which are roughly half the size of OPI.
I got this box, and the Boho Glam. I’ve been a Maven since Sept and really like it, although I might have to skip next month just because of finances.
I tried out the nail polish remover wipe, and was not impressed. It just did not work well for me at all! I have a review in my blog [didn’t want to put a link here since that’s kind of weird]
I plugged in that promo code and it is charging me $6.90 for the box…I guess ’cause of the additional 9.5% tax.
Okay, nevermind. I just selected the “Maven Only” shipping option and it brought it down to exactly $5.

I love the colors (I have the same box) and I’ll post a pic of Anne on your facebook page of it on but I did have a complaint about it…
Anne is extremely thick and goopy in my bottle and the to of my bottle and the inside of the cap were covered in thick, sticky polish. The consistency made it almost impossible to use 🙁 I’ve sent them an email regarding the issue and I’ll keep you updated as I know you’ve put a lot of time and faith in to this company. I’m sure they’ll rectify the problem 🙂
oh no! Definitely email them.. I’m sure they would gladly send you a replacement.. their CS is beyond!
