Hey everyone! So today the family & I went out shopping and of course I can’t go anywhere without checking the beauty sections for nail polish! I thought it would be cool to show you what I ended up getting today. I’ll have a full review on the individual products with swatches ect so stay tuned for that!
First stop was.. Ulta! I was hoping to find really good after Christmas deals, but I didn’t. So I only got a few things.
The first polish I spotted on a clearance rack all by itself. I actually had a friend pick this up for me a few weeks ago.. and of course now it’s on clearance. I couldn’t let it sit there, so I decided to take it home with me. (It will most likely be a future giveaway gift)
China Glaze ~ ULTAmate Holiday (Ulta Holiday Exclusive)
It’s chocked full of gorgeous gold & rainbow glitter. SO SO pretty! This was originally $7.00 or so and I got it marked down for $3.49.
The next 3 polishes I got from Ulta were a total splurge. Usually OPI nail polish is $8.50 but because these are from the “designer series”, they run $12.50. I know. I want to vomit just thinking of that. But LOOK at them!
L-R ~ DS Extravagance, DS Mystery, DS Glow
Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous. Here’s a few close ups.
DS Extravagance is a rich magenta full of gorgeous pink & holo glitter. I cannot wait to swatch this baby!
DS Mystery. Ohhhh Myyyy Goshhhh. I wish I could have gotten a better picture. It’s a jelly like dark purple base with tinnyyyy gold specks. It’s beyond. Definitely worth the $12.50.
DS Glow. This reminds me a warm cozy fireplace. It’s a copper, bronze, amber color with gold specks throughout. It KIND OF reminds me of Warm & Fozzie. When I try it out, I will be sure to swatch them side by side.
So there they are! Thoughts?!
The last polish I got from Ulta was a new Revlon ColorStay. You may remember me doing a huge review on these a few weeks back and I finally saw the rest of them in the store. The ones I swatched were DEFINITE stand-outs compared to the rest of the collection. I did happen to pick up one more that wasn’t sent to me just because I thought it was a gorgeous color.
This is not the best photo.. But this color is Midnight #290. It’s a really pretty dark blue cream. No shimmer. No glitter. Just a really gorgeous cream. I don’t think I have anything like it in my collection, but we will see. If you want to see my previous review on these, I will link it at the end!
So that was everything from Ulta.. Now moving onto CVS!
I happened to spot the new Loreal collection.. and I just about passed out.
There are SO many colors, I was in heaven! I definitely just tried to get the ones that stood out to me the most. I MAY go back for a few more.. we’ll see. I got 7 of these.
L-R ~ Charmed, I’m sure – because you’re worth it – stroke of midnight – now you sea me – jet set to paris – after hours & vip status
Charmed, I’m sure & because you’re worth it.
Charmed is a metallic-y rose gold .. little bit frosty as well. And because you’re worth it is a very pretty light gold with a bit of shimmer.
stroke of midnight is a blackish dark blue with hints of silver specks & now you sea me is a cream blue-green. VERY pretty in person.
jet set to paris is a cream blue. a gorgeous gorgeous blue. Reminds me of the blue’s from the Chanel denim collection or Essie mesmerized. Huge WIN. And then after hours is a cream dark navy blue. It’s absolute perfection. I’m a sucker for dark blue polish! (Or any blue polish for that matter)
And last but not least is vip status.
Another not so great pic (Better pics when reviews go up I promise!) This one is another blue.. but more of a teal blue with teal & silver specks. SO SO cool looking in the bottle. I just hope it delivers on the nail.
These Loreal polishes were $6.29 at my local CVS! I haven’t seen them anywhere else.
And last but not least is something my hubby brought home for me. This was on the 50% off rack at CVS and he paid a whopping $2.50 for it!
Adorable little gift set with 4 mini Sally Hansen diamond strength polishes. There are no names on them, so I have no idea what they’re called. But WINNING for only paying $2.50!
And that’s it! That’s everything I got today. I hope you enjoyed this little haul & if you want me to ever do more of these, I gladly will!
I will have full reviews on everything soon.. that way you can see the colors better and see what they look like on the nail. This was just a quick little entry so you could see what I picked up today.
Let me know your thoughts! Do you have any of these? Will you pick any of these colors up? Let me know!
xoxo

I just picked up 2 of the Sally Hansen Gem Crush polishes at Walgreens yesterday… They didn’t have a ton of polish there otherwise

Great finds! I’m jealous of the OPI DS, there’s no Ulta near me so I have a hard time finding those.
P.S. So sweet of your hubby to lay down the big bucks for you π
The Nail Files says
Its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get a photo capturing DS Mystery’s beauty!.. as cheesy as it sounds π
Jessica says
NOT cheesy at all! I was so mad I couldn’t get a decent pic!! π
